Build Academy Program Coordinator

Position Summary

The Build Academy Program Coordinator is an integral program team member responsible for the coordination and continuous development of the Build Academy program so each participant has optimum opportunity for success. This position will lead outreach, recruitment and enrollment efforts; coordinate training and curriculum schedules; integrate program data management; monitor reporting duties with accuracy; participate in on-going case management of current Build Academy crew members; help transition graduates into career employment opportunities; and track employment retention.

Build Academy Carpenter

Applications will be accepted until Thursday, April 6th at 8:00am CT. 

Position Summary

The Carpenter trains and supervises a crew of 5 to 8 young adults in residential and/or commercial construction. The person in this position works as a team member with other direct service staff, including classroom teachers, placement staff, and other support staff, to provide a comprehensive job skill, educational, and personal development program to emerging adults, ages 18–24. The goal of the program is to assist young adults to become successful, self-sufficient adults. The ideal candidate has house building, carpentry and/or construction experience and a desire and aptitude to help young people overcome obstacles and mistakes.
